Gentle stretching, movement and breathwork

Breathwork and meditation are highly effective tools for reducing stress.

  • Activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" system), which helps calm the body and mind.

  • Enhance creativity and problem-solving abilities.

  • Yoga and gentle movement help stretch and strengthen muscles, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal problems such as lower back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

  • Yoga helps reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and burnout.

  • It has been shown to increase the production of endorphins and reduce negative emotions like frustration and irritability.

Tapping
Emotional Freedom Techniques

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), is a science-based technique used for reducing stress and improving mental well-being.

It is a form of psychological acupressure that involves tapping on specific points on the face and upper body while focusing on a particular issue, or emotion.

  • Numerous studies have shown that tapping can lead to a significant reduction in cortisol levels.

  • MRI studies have shown that tapping reduces activity in the amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for fear and stress responses.

  • Tapping helps rewire the emotional brain, making it more resilient to stress.
